New York Mets Championship Ring Stolen From Norwalk Home NORWALK, Conn. -- A New York Mets championship ring and a large amount of cash was stolen in a burglary at a Knob Hill Road residence late last week, Norwalk Police said. The homeowner returned to the residence at about 11:30 p.m. and discovered that someone had broken in and that a window in the rear of the home was open, police said. The homeowner went through the residence and discovered that a 100-pound safe that contained the Mets National League championship ring, a junior college ring and a large amount of cash had been stolen, police said. Norwalk Police: Woman Calling Herself 'Crazy Ex-Lover' Vandalizes Car NORWALK, Conn. -- A woman who smashed the windows of a vehicle her ex-boyfriend was using and then got into an accident on Interstate 95 as she fled described herself succinctly to arresting Norwalk officers: "I am a crazy ex-lover," police said. Fire Destroys Southfield Ave. Condo Units In Stamford STAMFORD, Conn. -- What started out as a call for a brush fire turned rapidly into a quick moving blaze that destroyed two units of a condominium complex Wednesday night. Bethel Police Charge Norwalk Man With Threatening To Kill Relative BETHEL, Conn. -- A Norwalk man allegedly threatened to kill his brother-in-law earlier this month, Bethel Police said. William Cyrta of 21 Bartlett Manor, Norwalk was arrested on Oct. 5 with the cooperation of Norwalk Police one day after he made the alleged threat, police said. $4,000 In Hong Kong Currency Stolen In Distraction Home Burglary In Darien DARIEN, Conn. -- Thieves who distracted an older woman probably didn't expect the only thing they would find is about $4,000 in Hong Kong dollars during a burglary at a Herman Avenue residence, Darien police said. Police: Thieves Target, Steal 1966 Ford Mustang From Darien Home DARIEN, Conn. -- Thieves moved a 2014 Toyota Camry out of the way to steal a 1966 Ford Mustang convertible worth $25,000 from an Upper Middlesex Road home overnight Thursday, Darien Police said. The Mustang was covered, locked and located behind the Camry.
