Bridgeport Police Investigate Three Armed Robberies Over Weekend BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Bridgeport police are investigating three armed robberies that occurred over the weekend, according to the Connecticut Post.  The robberies at gunpoint included: A restaurant on East Main Street on Saturday afternoon by two men; A BP gas station on North Avenue by a woman on Saturday; and A delivery man at 300 Remington St early Sunday. No injuries were reported, the Post said.Click here for the story at the Connecticut Post.

Fairfield Police K-9 Maverick Helps Find Two Lost, Elderly Hikers FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Fairfield police K-9 helped to find and rescue two lost elderly hikers late Friday in Ansonia, according to a Facebook post.  Police K-9 Maverick and his handler conducted an extensive search in a forest for the two lost hikers, the post said.  The search was successful, and the couple was located safe and sound, the Facebook post said. The Fairfield police also thanked Ansonia first responders and the Connecticut State Police.

First Responders Rescue Injured Bicyclist In Easton's Trout Brook Valley EASTON, Conn. — First responders from Easton and surrounding towns rescued a biker who broke his leg on a trail deep in the woods of the Trout Brook Valley, according to the Easton Courier.  After the injured cyclist called 911 for help at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Easton police were able to determine his location via the GPS coordinates from his phone, the Courier said.  First responders from Easton Police Department, Easton Fire Department and Easton Volunteer Emergency Medical Service walked into the preserve and located the injured cyclist, the Easton Courier said.
