Bridgeport Police Investigate Three Armed Robberies Over Weekend BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Bridgeport police are investigating three armed robberies that occurred over the weekend, according to the Connecticut Post. The robberies at gunpoint included: A restaurant on East Main Street on Saturday afternoon by two men; A BP gas station on North Avenue by a woman on Saturday; and A delivery man at 300 Remington St early Sunday. As Family Calls For Action, Bridgeport Police Work To Make Arrest In Murder BRIDGEPORT, Conn — Six months after a Stamford man was shot to death in downtown Bridgeport, friends, family and community leaders rallied on McLevy Green on Saturday to demand answers and an arrest in the case. Monroe Police Investigate Two Crashes After Drivers Fled The Scene MONROE, Conn. — Monroe police were investigating two accidents in which the drivers fled the scene — making an arrest in one crash and looking for a suspect in the other, according to the Monroe Courier. Early Monday, Oct. 9, a car flipped onto its side in a one-car crash on Route 34, knocked over two pedestrian yield signs and hit a tree, the Courier said. 82-Year-Old Woman Crashes Into Parked Cars In Stamford; Man Critically Hurt STAMFORD, Conn. — A man was critically injured when he became trapped under a car after an elderly woman crashed into multiple vehicles in the parking lot of a Stamford apartment complex, the Stamford Advocate said. Fairfield Police K-9 Maverick Helps Find Two Lost, Elderly Hikers FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Fairfield police K-9 helped to find and rescue two lost elderly hikers late Friday in Ansonia, according to a Facebook post. Police K-9 Maverick and his handler conducted an extensive search in a forest for the two lost hikers, the post said. First Responders Rescue Injured Bicyclist In Easton's Trout Brook Valley EASTON, Conn. — First responders from Easton and surrounding towns rescued a biker who broke his leg on a trail deep in the woods of the Trout Brook Valley, according to the Easton Courier.
