74-Year-Old Man Charged With Firing Shotgun Into Marina In Greenwich GREENWICH, Conn. — A 74-year-old Greenwich man was arrested after he fired a shotgun — twice — into the marina near Grass Island Park in Greenwich on Friday, Oct. 20, according to Patch.com. Richard D. Francisco fired the weapon twice near pedestrians, causing great alarm, Greenwich police told Patch.com. No injuries were reported, but Francisco had aimed into the water and in the general direction of docked boats, according to Patch.com. Former Norwalk Man Killed In Collision With Tractor-Trailer On I-84 WATERBURY, Conn. — A Stratford trucker was involved in a collision on I-84 on Monday that killed a former Norwalk resident, according to Connecticut State Police and media reports. Howard Pellagrino, 55, of Waterbury, was killed in the accident on westbound I-84 in Waterbury, state police said. He was a former resident of Norwalk, according to the Connecticut Post. Pellagrino was westbound on I-84 when his 2013 Canyon GMC pickup truck collided with a Greenwood Motor Lines truck driven by Kazimierz Plaskawicki, 41, of Stratford, state police said. Man Charged With Assault After Ex Is Found Unconscious At Work In Fairfield FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Shelton teenager hit his ex-girlfriend at the hair salon where she worked in Fairfield and left her unconscious on the floor, according to the Fairfield Citizen. Shiloh Coram, 19, of Rushbrooke Lane, was charged with second-degree assault and disorderly conduct in the incident, which occurred at 5 p.m. Sunday, the Citizen said. New Canaan Store Fined For Illegally Selling Tobacco Products To Minors NEW CANAAN, Conn. — One business was found to be violating the law when a juvenile visited nine stores in New Canaan and tried to buy tobacco products, police said. The stores were checked by police and state officials on Oct. 20 to ensure they were not illegally selling tobacco products to minors. Horse Saved From Deep End Of Pool In Fairfield FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A horse that fell through the cover of an in-ground pool at a home on Mill Hill Lane on Sunday afternoon was rescued by Fairfield police and firefighters, according to the Fairfield Citizen. Police: Stratford Woman, 34, Drives Into Fire Hydrant And Flees STRATFORD, Conn. — A 34-year-old Stratford woman was driving drunk when she slammed into a fire hydrant and fled the scene, Milford police said.
