Wrong-Way Driver Causes Rollover Crash On Merritt Parkway, Police Say A driver who entered the Merritt Parkway the wrong way and drove head-on into oncoming traffic caused a rollover crash, state police told the Connecticut Post.  One driver was sent to the hospital with minor injuries in the crash at about 8:40 p.m. Friday in Trumbull, the Post said.  The accident occurred on the northbound side of the Merritt between Exits 47 and 48 in Trumbull, the Connecticut Post said.   Click here for the story at the Connecticut Post.

Police: Georgia Woman Stole $773K From UConn By Hacking Account STORRS, Conn. — A Georgia woman who diverted $773,000 from a University of Connecticut account that were intended to go to Dell computers has been arrested and is now held on $1 million bond, police said Friday.  UConn discovered in May that someone had hacked into a bill-paying account and diverted a total of 32 payments meant for Dell over a five-week span, police said.  The theft of $773,079.35 took place from April 12 to May 9 and was discovered after Dell contacted UConn about the past due bills, UConn police said. Police Searching For Suspect In Brookfield Bank Robbery BROOKFIELD, Conn. — Officers with police dogs were searching Friday morning for a suspect who fled after robbing a bank on Federal Road, according to the News-Times.  The bank robber, who did not display a weapon, hit the  Newtown Savings Bank at 99 Federal Road off Route 7 just before 9 a.m. Friday, the News-Times said.
