Suspect In Theft From New Canaan Deli Arrested After Two-Car Crash NEW CANAAN, Conn. — Officers who responded to a two-car crash in New Canaan late Wednesday ended up arresting one of the drivers in connection with a theft at a local deli, police said.  At 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, officers went to Cherry and Park streets to investigate a crash, police said.  There were no injuries reported, but a computer check of the drivers' records turned up an active warrant for the arrest of one of the drivers, police said.  Sheryl Tory Moroch, 56, of New Canaan, was wanted on a charge of sixth-degree larceny in connection with an incident on Sept. 29 at a deli/restauran…

300-Pound Shetland Pony Rescued From In-Ground Pool In Fairfield FAIRFIELD, Conn. — It was an unusual rescue for the Fairfield Fire Department when they got a call Sunday that a pony was trapped in the deep end of a pool. At about 4:40 p.m. Sunday, the Fairfield Fire Department received a request for assistance from a resident of Mill Hill Lane.  She told firefighters that her 300-pound Shetland pony had fallen into the pool behind her house.  Fairfield Engine 4, under the command of Lt.
