Two-Car Accident In Southeast Leaves Seven Hospitalized SOUTHEAST, N.Y. -- A two-car crash at the intersection of Routes 6 and 22 left seven people hospitalized, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Department. The crash in Southeast, which was near the border with the village of Brewster, occurred around 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Two of the victims were children, according to the Sheriff's Department.  The Sheriff's Department says the crash happened when a Toyota sedan that was going eastbound on Route 6 tried to turn onto Route 22 and go northbound.
