Police: Stamford Brothers Shot In Right Legs Not Cooperating With Officers STAMFORD, Conn., -- Two brothers, ages 24 and 21, are recovering after each was shot in his right leg during an incident Tuesday afternoon on Grant Avenue., police said. A witness reported gunshots on Grant Avenue just before 4 p.m., with the brothers found on nearby Lincoln Avenue, said Sgt. Chris Broems. They had run through backyards to escape the scene of the shooting, he said. Witnesses reported that some people had fled with the suspected shooters and others had fled with the victims, Broems said. Man Escapes Stamford Police But They Recover His Loaded Revolver STAMFORD, Conn., -- Stamford Police didn’t get their man but they got his gun – a gun they believe was involved in a shooting last week, police said. Teen Has $150 Snatched From His Hand During Xbox Transaction: Stamford Cops STAMFORD, Conn., -- Next time make sure to wear pants with pockets. A Stamford teen had $150 snatched from his hand Saturday afternoon by a person he met to buy an Xbox, police said. The teen had met the seller on Facebook and arranged to meet in the area of 120 Bridge St. The buyer was driven to the area by his mother and during the transaction he had the $150 cash in his hand because he had no pockets. Stamford Motorcyclist Charged; Lost Control Of Motorcycle Doing "Wheelie" STAMFORD, Conn., -- A Stamford man may have to reconsider what he thinks a controlled wheelie is after he totaled his motorcycle and landed in hospital after crashing Sunday night, police said. Urinating On Wilton's Field Prompted Assault Of Ridgefield Football Player WILTON, Conn. -- A Ridgefield football player taking part in a scavenger hunt that called for urinating on Wilton High's new athletic field was assaulted by Wilton students, according to the Ridgefield Press. The Ridgefield teen was beaten with golf clubs and a baseball bat after a confrontation on the field Wednesday night, the Press said. Police: Man Caused $65K In Damage To New Canaan Home Under Construction NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- A Farmington man cut electrical wires in a house under construction, causing about $65,000 in damages, New Canaan Police said. Salvatore Paul Germano, 55, of 42 Penfield Place, turned himself in to police Thursday afternoon after learning there was a warrant for his arrest. Police began investigating June 21 after they were called to a Summit Ridge Road that was under construction when the vandalism was discovered. Germano was released on $5,000 bond and is scheduled to return to court on Sept. 15.
