Stamford Police Seeking Driver In Hit-And-Run Accident; 2 Pedestrians Hurt STAMFORD, Conn. -- The Stamford Police Department is asking the driver in an accident that sent two pedestrians to the hospital Saturday night to turn themselves in to authorities.  The accident occurred just before 7 p.m. on Tresser Boulevard near Greenwich Avenue. The van that struck the pedestrians fled the scene, but left several pieces of the vehicle behind, police said.  Witnesses described the vehicle as a gray-colored work van or contractor’s van. New Canaan Police Seek Help In Theft Of Land Rover From Train Station Lot NEW CANAAN, Conn. — New Canaan police are seeking the public's help in finding two suspects who stole an expensive SUV from the Elm Street train station parking lot. On Oct. 11 at 1:36 p.m., the suspects' vehicle drove into the train station parking lot and stopped by a black 2015 Land Rover Supercharger, police said.   A passenger got out of the vehicle, then got into the Land Rover and drove it away, New Canaan police said.
