Wilton Police Release Video Of Dramatic Rescue Of Man From Burning Car WILTON, Conn. -- Wilton Police released video from an on-board camera from a cruiser of their role in the rescue of a 26-year-old Wilton man from a burning Range Rover after an accident last week. Six officers struggled to free Hunter Stanfield, 26, whose legs were caught in an area underneath the steering wheel in the night-time crash on Nov. 23 at 198 New Canaan Road. Norwalk Police Investigating Pair of Home Burglaries NORWALK, Conn., -- Police are investigating a pair of home burglaries that took place Tuesday. Around 5:25 p.m., jewelry and electronics was stolen from a Chestnut Hill Road residence. reported a residential burglary had taken place. Just before 9 p.m. an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from a Thistle Road home. There had been a force entry through a door and items were strewn about the home.

Wilton Police Get Their Man Five Years Later; Bridgeport Man Arrested WILTON, Conn. — A man wanted for five years by Wilton Police was finally arrested after he was involved in a motor vehicle accident on Nov. 22 on Interstate 95 and state police discovered there was a warrant for his arrest from a 2011 investigation, police said. Nechtali Lara, 37, of 205 Savoy St., Bridgeport, was charged with sixth-degree larceny and forgery. He posted $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday. Norwalk Police: Panhandler Threatens To Shoot People Who Didn't Give Money NORWALK, Conn. -- A Norwalk panhandler will have to work on his sales pitch after he threatened to shoot people after they declined to give him money Tuesday night, police said. Two Men Charged With Assaulting Restaurant Manager In Stamford STAMFORD, Conn. — The brother of a waitress who recently quit her job at a Long Ridge Road restaurant and a friend confronted and beat up the woman’s former supervisor in a nighttime assault at the restaurant Tuesday, Stamford Police said. Norwalk Man Charged With Drug Possession After Heroin Found In Vehicle NORWALK, Conn., -- A man found passed out in a vehicle on Oct. 28 has been charged with possession of narcotics. Remo Cilindrello, 32, of 3 Wallace Ave., was arrested by warrant on Tuesday. Police said a passerby noticed the man passed out in a vehicle in a Wallace Avenue driveway around 3 p.m. on Oct. 28. Stamford Police: Woman Thought She Ran Over Pipe Bomb STAMFORD, Conn. -- A 30-year-old Norwalk woman brought what she thought was a pipe bomb into Stamford Police headquarters early Wednesday, prompting a hurried response by police.
