Declan Leo Cooney, 23 months old, died June 6 after he was struck by a car in the driveway of a Mill Road home. Clerk Beaten In Attempted Robbery At Stamford Subway; Suspects Sought STAMFORD, Conn., -- Three men are wanted in the attempted robbery of a Subway restaurant in Stamford on Sunday evening in which a staff member was attacked and beaten by one of the three suspects, police said. Police Ask For Help In Finding Missing Stamford Man STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford police are seeking the public's help in finding a 24-year-old city man who hasn't been seen or heard from since Christmas Eve. Paulino Mendoza, of 17 Willowbrook Ave., went out with friends on Christmas Eve and his family haven't been able to make any contact with him since. Greenwich Couple Tied Up, Robbed In Home Invasion GREENWICH, Conn. -- Two homeowners were tied up and robbed by three masked men Monday night who took thousands of dollars in cash and jewelry from the family's safe, Greenwich police said Tuesday morning. Christmas Tree Fire Damages Pair Of Apartments At Greenwich's Wilbur Peck GREENWICH, Conn. -- A broken bulb on a Christmas tree is believed to have started a fire that caused smoke and water damage at two Wilbur Peck Court apartments Monday morning, Greenwich police and fire officials said. 2014 In Review: Malloy Prepares For Second Term After Winning Tight Race FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- In a hard-fought campaign that mirrored their exceptionally close 2010 gubernatorial campaign, Gov. Dannel P. Malloy was able to fend off Greenwich multimillionaire Tom Foley to win his second consecutive four-year term as governor in November's election. A former mayor of Stamford, Malloy was able to overcome an early campaign lead by Foley - a Quinnipiac University poll in early September had Foley leading Malloy by 6 percentage points. Greenwich Selectman Dave Theis Remembered As A 'True Townie' GREENWICH, Conn. -- A former Greenwich selectman remembered late Selectman Dave Theis as a man with an engaging sense of humor who was "a true townie." Theis, a Republican, died suddenly Tuesday. He was 65 years old. He was first elected to the Board of Selectmen in 2009.
