Norwalk River Valley Trail Prepares To Make Push For The 'Redding Mile' REDDING, Conn. — The team that is working to complete the Norwalk River Valley Trail is readying its push for the Redding Mile — that town’s first leg of the trail. Stony Hill Firefighters Douse Dumpster Blaze In Bethel BETHEL, Conn. — Volunteer firefighters from the Stony Hill Volunteer Fire Company doused a dumpster fire in a driveway on Saturday, according to a Facebook post. Engine 1 and Engine 3 were dispatched at about 1 p.m. Saturday to a residential driveway on the northern end of Old Hawleyville Road, the Facebook post said.
