Detour: Major Water Main Break Closes Roads In Bridgeport UPDATED: BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Bridgeport residents were urged to avoid a big intersection in the city due to a major water main break Monday evening. The water main break was impacting residents of North Avenue/Park Avenue from Lexington to Brooklawn Avenue late Monday. And the roads were closed in the area. Residents on both sides of the street had running water late Monday, and it was not clear when the water would be restored. 60-Year-Old New Canaan Man Charged With Assault NEW CANAAN, Conn. — A 60-year-old New Canaan man was charged with assault on Sunday in connection with a domestic dispute, police said. Danbury Dispatcher Teams With 9-Year-Old Boy To Save Choking Baby DANBURY, Conn. — A Danbury emergency dispatcher gave a 9-year-old boy who dialed 911 the information he needed to help save a baby from choking, according to a Facebook post from the Danbury Fire Department.
