Services Set For Nicholas Steiz, 75, Retired Stratford Firefighter STRATFORD, Conn. — Nicholas Thomas Steiz, a Shelton resident and a retired Stratford firefighter, died at Bridgeport Hospital on Sunday, Nov. 12. He was 75. Born in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Genevieve Milowski Steiz. He graduated from Stratford High School in 1960. 7-Year-Old Boy Hit By Car As He Walked To School In Stamford STAMFORD, Conn. — A 7-year-old boy hit by a car as he walked to school Wednesday suffered only minor injuries, according to the Stamford Advocate. The boy was taken to Stamford Hospital as a precaution for a graze on his head, police told the Advocate. He was walking alone when he was in hit in the crosswalk at Willowbrook Avenue and Hale Street in the Cove neighborhood, the Advocate said. Photos: Stratford Police Release Photos Of Suspect Who Shot Bartender STRATFORD, Conn. — Stratford police released two surveillance photos of the suspect who shot a bartender Tuesday night during an armed robbery. The photos show the suspect pointing a handgun with his left hand. Shoplifting Suspect Tracked Down And Arrested On The Merritt In Westport NEW CANAAN, Conn. — A Newtown woman suspected of shoplifting clothing from a New Canaan store was tracked down on the Merritt Parkway by Westport officers and arrested, police said. Naugatuck Police Searching For Missing Teen Who May Be In North Haven Police are searching for a teenager from Naugatuck who was last seen Tuesday afternoon and has been reported missing. Cherilee Estes, 16, was wearing pink leggings with a pink long-sleeved shirt and a Pink brand sweatshirt when she was last seen, Naugatuck police said in a post on Facebook. Estes is 5-foot-1 and weighs 87 pounds. She has brown hair and hazel eyes. She is possibly with a friend, Cassidy Leonetti, who was also reported missing from Meriden, Naugatuck police said.
