Combat Military Veteran From Danbury Honored With An Array Of Medals DANBURY, Conn. – Nearly 15 years after he served his country and was wounded during Operation Iraqi Freedom, a veteran from Danbury was awarded 16 medals for his military service.   The medals were presented to combat veteran Robert Carpenter, 42, by U.S. Rep. Fire Smolders For Days In Mulch Pile In Newtown NEWTOWN, Conn. — A fire burning in a mulch pit for three days is keeping crews from Botsford Fire and Rescue Department busy, according to a Facebook post. The mulch pile is on Button Shop Road, the post said Wednesday.
