Fairfield Firefighters Come To Aid Of Injured Hiker At Lake Mohegan FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Fairfield firefighters, using their off-road specialty vehicle dubbed Gator 1, came to the rescue of an injured hiker Friday afternoon at Lake Mohegan, according to a Facebook post. The hiker's accident occurred near the dog beach on the east side of Lake Mohegan. Firefighter Jeff DeNitto operated the Gator 1 at the incident at Lake Mohegan. He was assisted by Firefighter Will Malkin.   Fairfield Police and AMR also assisted in the rescue effort.

Stratford Officers Come To Aid Of Suicidal Woman On Train Tracks STRATFORD, Conn. — Stratford officers responded to a dangerous situation Friday morning with a suicidal woman on the train tracks at Linden Street, police said.    Officers were able to safely remove the woman from the track area, and no one was injured in the incident, police said.  Metro-North train service was briefly interrupted in the area, police said.
