Trumbull Police Arrest 5 In Stolen Car After Two Robberies, Pursuit TRUMBULL, Conn. — Five people were taken into custody by Trumbull officers Saturday after a crime spree that began with the theft of a car in New Canaan and ended with a police pursuit and included two robberies in between. The suspects stole the car in New Canaan, then traveled to Bridgeport, where they committed an armed street robbery on Orchard Street in Bridgeport, police said Sunday. Stamford Fire Crews Douse Burning Excavator At Home Depot Construction Site STAMFORD, Conn. – Fire crews extinguished a burning excavator at the site of an under-construction Home Depot on Saturday morning, the Stamford Fire Department said via Twitter. The construction site is at 1987 W. Main St. Firefighters used foam to quickly extinguish the burning construction equipment, the department said.

One Person Sent To Hospital After Two-Vehicle Crash In Weston WESTON, Conn. — One person was sent to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash on Weston Road at Newtown Turnpike in Weston late Saturday, firefighters said via Facebook. The Weston Volunteer Fire Department and Weston Volunteer EMS responded to the accident scene. Weston EMS transported one person to the hospital. The intersection was closed for a short time.

10 Left Homeless After Fire Rips Through Multi-Family Home In Norwalk NORWALK, Conn. — The American Red Cross came to the aid of 10 adults in two families who were displaced by a fire that ripped through their multi-family dwelling in Norwalk on Saturday.
