Five Katonah-Lewisboro Schools Are Being Investigated For Mold LEWISBORO, N.Y. -- Katonah-Lewisboro staff and the district’s architect are investigating the possibility of mold or failure of HVAC at five school buildings following receipt of a Department of Labor notice, Interim Schools Superintendent John Goetz disclosed in a letter to the community. Mahopac Fire Department's Dress Parade Marks 100th Anniversary MAHOPAC, N.Y. -- Firefighters from around the region participated in the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department's 100th Anniversary Dress Parade. Katonah 5K Scheduled For Sept. 6 KATONAH, N.Y. -- The Katonah Village Improvement Society (KVIS) announced that a 5K road race will be held on Sept. 6. The road race, called K5K, is scheduled to start on Parkway, according to KVIS, between Edgemont and Bedford Roads.  The race's route has also been changed, according to KVIS, with more trails and fewer hills planned. Firm Picked For New Castle Master Plan Survey CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- The New Castle Town Board unanimously approved hiring Penn Schoen Berland to conduct a public survey, which will include a sample of 300 people, in connection with the town's master plan update. Before the Town Board voted its approval at the Aug. 12 meeting, it held a joint meeting with members of the Planning Board and Master Plan Steering Committee. Katonah-Lewisboro School Board Voting On Superintendent Search Firm CROSS RIVER, N.Y. -- The Katonah-Lewisboro school board is scheduled to vote on whether to use Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates for its superintendent search.
