Food Delivery Worker Knocked Out, Robbed: Newark PD A food delivery worker was robbed and knocked into unconsciousness in Newark on Friday, July 19, authorities said. At 9:30 p.m., a delivery person arrived on a moped with a food order at an apartment building on the 900 block of Broad Street, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. Man Gets 25 Years For Kearny Holiday Home Invasion A 31-year-old Newark man was sentenced to 25 years in prison on Wednesday, July 24, for his role in a home invasion in Kearny three days before Christmas 2017, authorities said. She was 27 years old. Office Manager Embezzled $350K From North Jersey Synagogue, Feds Say A 51-year-old Scotch Plains woman is charged with embezzling more than $350,000 from a Union County synagogue she worked at, authorities said. New Union City Bus Garage, Terminal Moving Forward: NJ Transit NJ Transit is moving forward with plans for a new bus garage and terminal in Union City after being approved by NJ Transit's Board of Directors.
