East Orange Man Killed In Shooting: Prosecutor A 33-year-old East Orange man was fatally shot on the evening of Friday, July 26, authorities said. Around 8 p.m., police responded to the 100 block of South Munn Avenue and found Kenyaitte Crute shot, Essex County Prosecutor Theodore Stephens, II and East Orange Police Chief Phyllis Bindi said. Crute was transported to University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead, Stephens and Bindi said. The shooting is being investigated by the Prosecutor’s Homicide Task Force, which includes detectives from the East Orange Police Department.
