Stamford Police Release Video Of Armed Robbery Suspect STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford Police released a video of a suspect who threatened to shoot a woman's 4-year-old child during an attempted armed robbery on Oct. 17, police said. The man pulled a handgun on a woman at 8:30 p.m. and attempted to rob her as she was putting her child into her vehicle near the intersection of South Pacific Street and Woodland Place. Stamford Fire Department Warns About Fireplace Ash After Blaze On Deck STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford firefighters are warning about the dangers of improperly disposing of ashes from a fireplace after a small fire early Thursday.
