Dutchess County Supreme Court blocked an effort by the village to disband its police force and replace it with the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office, saying the village did not conduct an environmental review. The Buffalo Wild Wings at 44 Westchester Ave. in the village recently closed its doors. The wing chain did not give a reason for its closure, directing customers to nearby locations in White Plains and New Rochelle. Applebees and Panera Bread have also shut its doors in Port Chester over the last few years. Wing lovers can go down the street to Wing Stop, which opened last year. On Tuesday, Arby's announced it is acquiring Buffalo Wild Wings for $2.4 billion.

Port Chester Housing Authority Paying Back Taxes...Over 60 Years PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- The Port Chester Housing Authority has 60 years to pay back more than $260,000 in back taxes to the village. The village board approved 5-2, a payment plan that will see the agency pay the village $20,575. The rest of the balance will be paid back $338 a month over the next 60 years. The housing authority, which runs 340 units in the village and is funded through rent payments and federal funding, hasn't paid its sewer taxes since 2014, according to LoHud. The schools competed in the first-ever Hudson Valley UnHunger Games collecting canned and boxed goods in a food drive sponsored by Volunteer New York to ensure families throughout the area could have a Thanksgiving dinner.
