Scaffolding Reported Stolen From Wilton Construction Site WILTON, Conn. — Police are investigating after thieves stole over $2,000 worth of scaffolding from an active construction site on Danbury Road/Route 7 in Wilton, police said.  On Saturday, a construction company reported that $2,225 worth scaffolding materials were missing from the rear of a construction site at 249 Danbury Road, police said . That is site of a new medical building that is under construction. The theft occurred between 5:30 p.m. Friday and 3:15 p.m. Saturday, police said.

Bridgeport Woman Charged With Shoplifting Air Conditioner BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A Bridgeport woman was charged with shoplifting an air conditioner from a store in Milford over the summer, police said.  Sharon Woods, 48, of 334 Orchard St., No. 302, Bridgeport, took a $120 air conditioner from the Ocean State Job Lot on Bridgeport Avenue in Milford on July 10 without paying, police said.  She was arrested on an active warrant, and Milford police charged her with sixth-degree larceny. She was released on a promise to appear in court on Jan. 2.
