Woman Struck, Killed By Metro-North Train Along Waterbury Branch UPDATE: BEACON FALLS, Conn. — A female was struck and killed by a Metro-North train along the Waterbury Branch in Beacon Falls on Wednesday morning, Metro-North said. Propane Heater Blamed For Fatal Fire In Shelton Mobile Home SHELTON, Conn. — A portable propane heater is the likely cause of a fire in a Shelton mobile home that left an elderly man dead on Friday, according to the Valley Independent Sentinel. Danbury Police Pursue Stolen Car Onto I-84 DANBURY, Conn. — Officers pursued a stolen vehicle from westbound Lake Avenue and onto I-84 on Wednesday morning before calling off the pursuit, Danbury police said. Man Recovering After Metro-North Train Hits Car In Redding REDDING, Conn. — The man whose car was hit by a train in Redding late Tuesday is recovering, a Metro-North spokesman said Wednesday.
