Crushed: Monroe Home Damaged By Fallen Tree MONROE, Conn. — No one was injured when a tree fell on a house in Monroe on Sunday, the Stepney Volunteer Fire Department reported in a Facebook post.  The incident happened Sunday afternoon when no one was home, the fire department said. The Stepney Volunteer Fire Department was on the scene for a little under an hour and assessed the home for any hazards while Eversource shut off power to the home.
