Two-Car Crash Snarls Traffic On Merritt Parkway In Trumbull TRUMBULL, Conn. — Crews from the Nichols Fire Department responded to a two-car crash Saturday on the northbound Merritt Parkway in Trumbull, according to a Facebook post. The crash occurred at about 12:10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5 near Exit 52, the post said. Crews stabilized the damaged vehicle, applied speedy dry to the spilled fluids, and protected the scene for Trumbull EMS. Rescue 300 and Squad 309 responded to the scene on the northbound side of the Merritt Parkway. No further information was released on the crash.

"The two missing Bridgeport children Catherine and Darwin Perez have been found and both are fine! Silver alert canceled," Bridgeport police said in a Facebook post. The children had been missing late Friday night but were found safe at about 9 a.m. Saturday morning. Police had been searching for the two children.
