Little Libraries Pop Up In Monroe Thanks To Edith Wheeler Memorial Library MONROE, Conn. — Book lovers may have noticed a big treat when visiting Wolfe Park and Great Hollow Lake in Monroe. Two "mini-libraries" have popped up on the landscape at the two parks, thanks to the staff at the Edith Wheeler Memorial Library, according to the Town of Monroe.  The Wheeler Fund made a financial donation, and Jerry and Kathy Stevens designed and built the mini-libraries. Patrons are invited to take part by borrowing a book and lending a book. It is free.  "Take a book, share a book," is the motto on the Little Library.

He was 80.  Ferrante was born Sept. 2,1936, in Ripi, Italy, son of Orlando and Maria (Cortina) Ferrante.  He left Italy to go to Venezuela, where he became a horse trainer.
