Seek An Alternate Route: Roadwork Set For This Week On Belden Hill Road WILTON, Conn. — If you regularly travel on Belden Hill Road in Wilton, you may want to find an alternate route this week. Beginning Monday, Aug. 21, and ending Thursday, Aug. 24, the Wilton Department of Public Works will be milling and paving a section of Belden Hill Road between Wolfpit Road/Route 106 and the Norwalk Town Line. The work hours on the project are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be alternating traffic patterns to accommodate the work. Plan accordingly as traffic delays in the area are expected.

Norwalk Woman Charged With Leaving Dog In Hot Car While Shopping NORWALK, Conn. — A Norwalk woman who left her dog in a very hot car while she went shopping at Walmart on Friday afternoon was arrested on animal cruelty charges, The Hour said. When police arrived at the store on Connecticut Avenue at 5 p.m. Friday, the dog showed visible “physical indications of stress,” the Hour said. 69-Year-Old Man Hurt After He Falls Overboard Near Penfield Reef Lighthouse FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A 69-year-old man suffered cuts when he fell out of a malfunctioning boat and was hit by the propeller while he was fishing Sunday afternoon off the coast of Fairfield, according to police and media reports. Car Crash In Weston Takes Out Utility Pole WESTON, Conn. — A car went off the road early Sunday near the center of town and broke a utility pole in half, according to the Weston Volunteer Fire Department.
