Darien Home Burglarized, Ransacked; Jewelry, Cash Reported Missing DARIEN,Conn. — A Darien resident returned from work late Sunday and discovered that his home had been burglarized and ransacked, police said. The man arrived home at about 11:15 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20, and found the rear door unlocked and the home's interior ransacked, police said. Greenwich Man Charged In Sexual Assault Of 14-Year-Old Girl GREENWICH, Conn. — A 22-year-old Greenwich man was arrested Tuesday and charged with the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl at a home in North Canaan, state police said. Taiel Gookool of Greenwich was arrested on a warrant Tuesday morning at Bantam Superior Court. Shelton Man, 33, ID'd As Victim Killed By Metro-North Train In Fairfield FAIRFIELD, Conn. — The man who was struck and killed by a Metro-North train shortly after midnight last Thursday has been identified as a 33-year-old Shelton resident, according to the Connecticut Post. Police Identify Driver Who Died On Merritt Accident After An Earlier Crash FAIRFIELD, Conn. — The man has been identified who died last week when his car — which had been involved in an earlier accident — slammed into a tree off the Merritt Parkway, according to the Connecticut Post. Bridgeport Man Dies After Delivery Accident In Ansonia BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A 47-year-old Bridgeport man died after a tow motor he was using to deliver wood overturned onto him, according to the Valley Independent Sentinel. At 8:45 a.m. Saturday, Mazhar Khan was making a delivery in Ansonia as a subcontractor of Lowe’s when the accident occurred, the Valley Independent said.
