2-Car Crash Cleared From Merritt In Greenwich Update: The crash scene has been cleared and the lane was reopened on the Merritt Parkway after 6 p.m. Tuesday, DOT said. GREENWICH, Conn. — Traffic was jammed on the northbound Merritt Parkway on a rainy Tuesday afternoon after a two-car crash in Greenwich, the Department of Transportation said.  The accident between Exits 27 and 28 occurred on the northbound side of the Merritt at about 5:25 p.m. Tuesday, DOT said.  Traffic was congested for about2.5 miles in that area, with the left land closed, DOT said.  It was not known when the crash would be cleared.
