Funeral Services Set For Eric Dimas Diaz, 19, Bridgeport Native BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Funeral services have been scheduled for Eric Dimas Diaz, a Bridgeport native who died Friday, Sept. 15, at Bridgeport Hospital. He was 19. Diaz most recently lived in Hartford.  He was shot in the stomach late last Thursday at the corner of Beadsley Street and Newfield Avenue in Bridgeport, police said. Fire Spreads To Roof Of Westport Home; Cat Found Safe WESTPORT, Conn. — A house fire in Westport reported by a passing motorist spread through the second floor and the roof before firefighters were able to extinguish it two hours later.
