Population Of Lone Star Ticks Found On Norwalk's Manresa Island NORWALK, Conn. — There's a new tick to worry about in Connecticut: A sizable population of a species that has been linked to an allergy to red meat in humans has been discovered on an island in Norwalk, state environmental officials said. Woman Busted With Pot, Cocaine Near Latham Park In Stamford STAMFORD, Conn. — An eagle-eyed officer spotted a woman acting in a suspicious manner near Latham Park in Stamford and ended up arresting her on drug charges Wednesday afternoon, police said. Bridgeport Man Charged With Distributing Heroin In Fatal Overdose BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A 23-year-old Bridgeport man was arrested Wednesday on heroin charges in the death of a Seymour man who overdosed in Seymour in July, prosecutors said. Bridgeport Man Linked To Home Break-In In New Canaan Through DNA NEW CANAAN, Conn. — A 27-year-old Bridgeport man was arrested Tuesday in a New Canaan home break-in nearly two years ago after he was tied to the crime through his DNA , police said.
