Pound Ridge Volunteer Ambulance Corps Is Looking For a Few Good Residents POUND RIDGE, N.Y. -- One aspect that makes Pound Ridge a great place to live is the sense of volunteering. One of the important groups in town that relies on volunteers is our Ambulance Corps. In the early 1960s, Pound Ridge residents depended on the Mount Kisco Lions Ambulance Corps. With a growing community and longer response times, the Pound Ridge Lions Club stepped in to start its own Corps and in 1966, the Pound Ridge Volunteer Ambulance Corps received a charter from New York State. Take A Taste At Benefit For Norwalk Education Foundation NORWALK, Conn. – The Taste for Education to benefit the Norwalk Education Foundation will be held on Nov. 7 at Aitoro in Norwalk. The event runs from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Aitoro, 401 Westport Ave. Area restaurants will provide a tasting menu and local businesses will contribute wine, beer and items for a silent auction. Norwalk Youth Basketball Plans Free Clinics In October NORWALK, Conn. --The Norwalk Youth Basketball Association is hosting basketball clinics this month in preparation for the upcoming basketball season.
