Norwalk High School's Marching Band Adds Another Victory NORWALK, Conn. -- The Norwalk High School Marching Bears precision marching band continued its winning ways as it rolled to another victory Saturday at Newtown High School. Competing in the National Class of bands in the Musical Arts Conference event, Norwalk posted a total of 87.6. Trumbull finished second with 86. Norwalk has won four MAC events this fall. Trumbull has been the runner-up in three of those competitions. Youth Football Players Invited To Try Out For All-Star Teams FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Youth football players from Fairfield County are invited to try out for Team Connecticut South, which will play in the Football University National Championship tournament. Players in grades 6-8 can try out for the teams on Monday, Oct. 14, at Cheshire Academy. Fairfield Prep's Chris Alvarado Commits To Georgetown FAIRFIELD, Conn. –- Fairfield Prep senior track and field standout Chris Alvarado was anxious to wrap up his college selection process. A recent trip to Georgetown University cemented his decision.
