Darien Eighth-Graders Advance In Football Playoffs DARIEN, Conn. – The Darien White eighth-grade football team defeated Wilton Blue, 14-8, to reach the semifinals of the Fairfield County Football League playoffs. Darien will play Fairfield Black in the semifinals Sunday at Darien High School. The championship game will be played the weekend of Nov. 23 to 24. Darien White improved to 8-1 and beat Wilton for the second time this season. Darien won 20-6 earlier this year. Darien also beat Fairfield, 6-0, earlier in the season. Runners From The Harvey School Shine At Cross Country Race KATONAH, N.Y. -- Three juniors on The Harvey School’s cross country team more had strong performances in the New England Prep School Track Association (NEPSTA) Division IV Cross-Country Championships Saturday in Connecticut. Greenwich Alliance For Education Plans 5K Turkey Trot GREENWICH, Conn. -- The Greenwich Alliance for Education will host its third annual Turkey Trot at  Bruce Park on Saturday, Nov. 30, at 9:30 a.m. Runners and walkers will be able to choose either a 5K race or a noncompetitive 1-mile run/walk.
