Norwalk Soccer Community Mourns Dino Melitsanopoulos NORWALK, Conn. – The Norwalk soccer community mourned the death Friday of Dino Melitsanopoulos, a longtime supporter of the Norwalk High School and Beachside Soccer Club programs. Melitsanopoulos was also president of Atlas Realty Group in Norwalk and a 1980 graduate of Norwalk High School. He was believed to be 51. He was a fixture on the sidelines and stands of soccer games in Norwalk and throughout Fairfield County. His sons Paul, Dean and Andrew were all soccer standouts in Norwalk and Beachside. Jennifer Sedney, 27, Ridgefield High Graduate RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – Jennifer Anne Sedney of Ridgefield, 27, died unexpectedly on Dec. 25. Sedney was a 2004 graduate of Ridgefield High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Michigan. She worked as a healthcare consultant for Vymanic in Philadelphia. Westport Runner Finishes 5th In Final Cross Country Rankings FAIRFIELD COIUNTY, Conn. – Westport’s Hannah DeBalsi was ranked fifth and Darien’s Alex Ostberg finished 29th in the nation in the final cross country Top 100 lists published Saturday by RunnerSpace.com. When I met Josh Ryan and his Timber & Stone construction team a month ago, they were making phenomenal progress on the half-mile demonstration trail between Orem’s Diner and Raymond Lane.
