Race Scheduled For Sunday In Fairfield Postponed FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Sunday’s Boston Buildup 20K road race has been postponed until Feb. 16. The race will begin at 9 a.m. at Tomlinson Middle School in Fairfield. More information on the series is on clubct.org.

Sister Elizabeth Lee, 89, Of Maryknoll In Ossining OSSINING, N.Y. -- Sister Elizabeth Lee , a Maryknoll sister for 70 years, died on Feb. 4. She was 89. Lee was born on May 12, 1924 to Lou She Lee and William Lee in San Francisco. She graduated from Mt. Gollitzin Academy in Baden, Pa. , in 1943. She entered Maryknoll Sisters on Sept. 7, 1943, and was given her Religious name, Sister Marie Clementia, at her reception on March 7, 1946. From 1945-1949, Sister Elizabeth attended Maryknoll Teachers College where she earned a Bachelor of Education degree. Jake Cohn of Pound Ridge led Harvey with 17 points. Evan Roteman, a freshman from Chappaqua, added 13. Senior Deshawn Hilliard had 10 points and 15 rebounds. Harvey led 17-4 early before Christian Heritage rallied to climb within 35-30 at halftime. Signal Problems Plague Danbury Branch Railroad Crossings DANBURY, Conn. – A new signal system installed in November on Metro-North’s Danbury Branch has consistently malfunctioned, according to a report in The News-Times. Problems with the $70 million system have created dangerous conditions at rail crossings and longer commutes for riders. The Danbury Branch runs to South Norwalk with stops in Ridgefield, West Redding and Wilton. The stops on the 24-mile line also include Bethel, Branchville, Cannondale and Merritt 7 before reaching South Norwalk. The line is not electrified, and trains travel by diesel engine. And now Westhill High School’s nationally ranked distance star Claire Howlett has made a commitment to attend the California school as well. Connecticut Rejects All Homeowner Claims For FEMA Funds For Sandy Aid FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Fairfield County homeowners are reeling from a decision by a committee of public officials to deny them federal grant money to help them rebuild after Superstorm Sandy in November 2012. The state rejected 94 homeowner applications, including 26 from Fairfield, for the $16.6 million from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
