Greenwich Native Nets Assist As U.S. Hockey Team Edges Russia FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Greenwich native Kevin Shattenkirk picked up an assist Saturday as the U.S. men’s hockey team won a thrilling 3-2 shootout victory over Russia in the Winter Olympics in Sochi. It was the second assist of the Olympics for Shattenkirk, a defenseman who plays for the the St. Louis Blues in the NHL.
