Jack Riehm, 63, Longtime Bronxville Resident BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- Jack Riehm, longtime resident of Bronxville died Feb. 18 of natural causes in Tucson, Ariz. He was 63. Riehm was a graduate of Bronxville High School. and attended Schreiner College in Texas and Fordham University. He was the longtime manager of Parkway Liquors. In 2006, he followed his parents to Tucson to care for them. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Riehm, Sr. He is survived by his mother Doris Riehm and three sisters, Susan Riehm Braden, Sandra Riehm Shepard, and Elizabeth Riehm Ganin.

New Rochelle's Shattenkirk Picks Up Assist As U.S. Hockey Team Rolls WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – New Rochelle’s Kevin Shattenkirk picked up another assist as the United States men’s hockey team crushed Czechoslovakia, 5-2, in the quarterfinals of the Winter Olympics Wednesday in Sochi, Russia. The U.S. will play Canada in the semifinals on Friday. Sweden and Finland meet in the other semifinal. Finland beat Russia 3-1 to prevent the chance of a U.S.-Russia rematch after the U.S. beat Russia 3-2 in a shootout on Saturday, Feb. 15. Greenwich's Swim Across America Leaders Mark World Cancer Day STAMFORD, Conn. – Leaders from the Stamford-based Alliance for Gene Therapy and the Stamford-Greenwich Swim Across America joined forced to mark World Cancer Day and raise funds to fight cancer. Soccer Star At St. Luke's In New Canaan Chooses Clemson NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Salma Anastasio, a senior at St. Luke's School in New Canaan, officially signed Tuesday to continue her soccer career at Clemson University. Anastasio scored 34 goals and tallied six assists in 17 games as a senior last fall. She finished her career with three straight seasons as an All-Fairchester Athletic Association, Connecticut Girls Soccer Coaches Association All-State, and New England Prep School Athletic Conference All-New England selection. Luggino Joseph Galletto,88, Former Ossining Resident OSSINING, N.Y. -- Luiggino (Louis) Joseph Galletto, 88, of Pawling and a former resident of Ossining, died on Feb. 17. Galletto was born to Gabriel and Veronica Galletto on Nov. 16, 1925 in Ossining. He attended Ossining High School, was a member of the Merchant Marines and a Lieutenant in the United States Army serving in Germany post World War II. Galletto was employed by New York State Department of Corrections and Department of Motor Vehicles. He owned and operated Dutch-West Home Improvement Center in Pawling.
