Boston Buildup 15k Race Steps Off This Sunday In Ridgefield RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- The second race in the Boston Buildup series will be held Sunday in Ridgefield, weather permitting. The 15-kilometer (9.3-mile race) was postponed last Sunday because of icy roads. Snow is forecast for Saturday, which may force another postponement. The race begins at 9 a.m. at Scotland Elementary School on Barlow Mountain Road. The four-race series also includes a 20k in Fairfield on Sunday, Feb. 8, and a 25k Norwalk on Sunday, March 1. Pelham Manor Police Chief Faces More Accusations Of Making Racist Remarks PELHAM MANOR, N.Y. --  Longtime Pelham Manor Police Chief Al Mosiello faces more accusations of making racists comments, according to a story on News12.com. Greg Paci , a former Pelham Manor police officer, said Mosiello made racists jokes targeted at blacks, the story said. Another former officer, Marc Lenci, claims to have emails forwarded by Mosiello that are also offensive, the report said. Mosiello was unavailable for comment, according to the report. Newtown Votes To Demolish Home Of Sandy Hook Shooter FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- The Newtown home where the killer of 26 victims in the Sandy Hook shootings lived will be razed, according to a report on NBCConnecticut.com The Newtown Legislative Council voted Wednesday night to tear down the home at 36 Yogananda St., the home of Adam Lanza. He killed 20 first-graders and six educators on Dec. 14, 2012. The story said the colonial-style home built in 1998 was assessed at $368,540 in 2012, according to town property records. Ridgefield's West Wins Silver In Singles At World Junior Luge Championships RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – Tucker West of Ridgefield earned a silver medal last week at the Junior Luge World Championships held in Lillehammer, Norway. Competing on the course where the 1994 Winter Olympic Games were held, West hit the wall at Curve 13 on both runs. Still, he maintained his speed to grab the silver medal overall.
