Jeymar and Kimberly Soto and their four children will be moving into a new Habitat CFC home in Bridgeport before the cold winter ends. The Sotos, lifelong Bridgeport residents, are eager to move into their newly Habitat-built and Energy Star-rated home. Spring-Like Weather Draws Area Canines, Owners To Playland Beach RYE, N.Y. - Playland Beach in Rye went to the dogs Sunday. Spring-like temperatures brought lots of people out to stroll the beaches near Playland, and it seemed like the majority had their dogs with them. Unseasonably mild temps are expected to continue this week. Highs Monday through Wednesday are expected to be in the 40s, possibly hitting the 50s by Thursday. HS Sports Community Mourns Loss Of 'Once-In-Lifetime' Guy Joe McGuinness BARDONIA, N.Y. - The Albertus Magnus, Rockland County and Hudson Valley athletic communities are all mourning a big loss -- Joe McGuinness, a longtime coach and athletic director at Albertus Magnus High School, died Feb. 12 after battling cancer. He was 55. Born Nov. 18,1960 in Suffern to John J. and Florence McGuinness, McGuinness graduated from Clarkstown South High School and Manhattan College.  A New City resident, McGuinness had previously attended West Point where he played basketball under now Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski. Section 1 Crowns Large-School Wrestling Champions WEST NYACK, N.Y. - Section 1 wrestlers who will compete in the state tournament were decided on Sunday as Clarkstown South High School hosted the Section 1 Division 1 (large schools) Wrestling Championships.
