Pound Ridge Requires Lengthy Review For Ridge 29 Proposal POUND RIDGE, N.Y. -- Pound Ridge's Planning Board voted on Thursday to require an environmental impact statement (EIS) for the Ridge 29 housing proposal, a decision that mandates a detailed review of the project. Lewisboro Library Reopens Building After Massive Renovation SOUTH SALEM, N.Y. -- A reopening ceremony was held on a sunny Saturday morning for the Lewisboro Library's return to its building following an extensive renovation. Chappaqua School Foundation Gala Gets Record Turnout BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. -- A record crowd of approximately 600 turned out for the Chappaqua School Foundation's (CSF) annual Spring Benefit fundraiser on Friday night. “We are setting a record tonight," said David Gefsky, president of the foundation. Mount Kisco Trustees Approve 2015-16 Village Budget MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- Mount Kisco's Village Board of Trustees unanimously approved the 2015-16 village budget when it met on Monday. The budget underwent some modifications since it was proposed, Mayor Cindrich noted at the meeting. The adopted budget has a tax rate increase of 2.75 percent, Cindrich said, which is a smaller increase than the 3-percent hike previously proposed. As a result, the rate will be $97.4533 per $1,000 of assessed property value. Katonah-Lewisboro Board OK's 2015-16 School Calendar CROSS RIVER, N.Y. -- Katonah-Lewisboro's school board approved a calendar for the 2015-16 academic year that has a start date for classes before Labor Day. The first regular class day is Sept. 2, while Labor Day this year is on Sept. 7. The calendar was approved by a 6-1 vote. North Castle Officials Could Have Brynwood Zoning Vote In June NORTH CASTLE, N.Y. -- North Castle's Town Board could vote as early as June on zoning changes for a proposed housing development at Brynwood Golf & Country Club in Armonk.
