The parade started by going up East Main Street before making a brief left detour onto West Main Street. The Bedford Town Board took a key step in the inquiry on Tuesday when it unanimously approved hiring Evans Associates to conduct and engineering study to see where adding parking is feasible. Chappaqua Grade Crossing Work Is Postponed CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- Road work that was planned at the Roaring Brook Road railroad grade crossing in Chappaqua has been postponed, according to the New York State Department of Transportation (DOT). The work had previously been scheduled by the DOT to run from Friday, July 10 at 7 p.m. to Sunday, July 12 at 7:30 p.m. The postponement, the DOT's announcement says, is "until further notice." Work at the crossing has been ongoing this spring. Recent work has included re-pavement of the vicinity.
