Edward Brancati Named Mount Kisco Village Manager MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- Mount Kisco's Village Board of Trustees voted unanimously this week to appoint Edward Brancati as the new Village Manager. Brancati is Mount Kisco's first permanent Village Manager since James Palmer left more than a year ago to take a similar post in Bronxville. Gennaro Faiella, a retired New Castle Town Administrator, served as Interim Village Manager in the meantime. The Village Manager is the top administrator in Mount Kisco. Former Borders Site In Downtown Mount Kisco Sold To Lerner, Modell Families MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- For the second time in less than a year, the former Borders bookstore property in Mount Kisco has changed ownership. Stephen Lerner, founder of commercial real estate firm Lerner Properties, told Daily Voice that the property is now 50-percent owned by himself and his cousin, Richard Grobman. Longtime Owner Rita O'Leary Of North Salem's Blazer Pub Dies NORTH SALEM, N.Y. -- The Blazer Pub announced that its owner, Rita O'Leary, has died.  O'Leary, who split her residential time between Bedford and Cape Cod, was 86 and died this weekend, according to Jacque Wilson, who has worked at the restaurant for 16 years. New Castle Drowning Victim ID'd NEW CASTLE, N.Y. -- A Yonkers man who was in the New Castle section of the New Croton Reservoir this weekend drowned to death, according to the Westchester County Medical Examiner's office. The official terminology for the cause, according to the examiner's office, is called asphyxia by drowning. The cause was determined following an autopsy. The medical examiner's office identified the deceased man as Rufus Barr, a 53-year-old resident of Yonkers.
