An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Mother Charged After 6-Year-Old Dies In Newark: Prosecutor A mother is facing charges after her 6-year-old daughter died in Newark on Monday, March 10, authorities said. At 10:30 a.m., detectives from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office responded to 19 Stratford Pl. and found a 6-year-old girl dead, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said. Zyhirah Hall, her mother, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, authorities said. The cause and manner of the death is pending an autopsy and the investigation is ongoing, authorities said.

Pedestrian Found Underneath Ford Dies In Jersey City Crash: Police A 73-year-old man died after he was struck by a vehicle in Jersey City on the morning of Monday, March 10, authorities said. At 7:03 a.m., the man was found unresponsive underneath a Ford F250 at Sip and Summit Avenues, Kimberly Wallace-Scalfione, a spokeswoman for the mayor's office said. 14-Year-Old Motorcyclist Injured In Hit, Run Crash, Man Arrested: Hudson County Prosecutor A 38-year-old Jersey City man was arrested and charged on Monday, March 10 following a hit and run crash that seriously injured a teenage motorcyclist last September, authorities said. Two Men Charged In Wall Home Invasion, One At Large: Police Two men who were arrested in Union County earlier this month were arrested again following a home invasion in Wall Township in January, authorities said.
