Stamford High School Evacuated After Bomb Threat Updated: STAMFORD, Conn. — Stamford High School was evacuated Tuesday afternoon because of a bomb threat, and students were dismissed early, police said. Stamford High student Christian Hamilton said students were ordered to evacuate the building in an announcement over the school's intercom system. He said teachers were unaware of what was happening. Snow Forces Greenwich Public Schools To Close GREENWICH, Conn., -- Friday's snow has forced the cancellation of Greenwich Public Schools, the district announced. The National Weather Service said there could be as much as two to four inches of snow to fall mainly before noon. Temperatures are expected to drop to about 36 degrees. New Canaan Police Search For Suspects In Home Burglaries NEW CANAAN, Conn. — New Canaan Police released photos from a surveillance video of a suspect in a home burglary reported Wednesday afternoon. Two homes were burglarized and an attempted burglary occurred at a third home between 1:08 and 1:39 p.m., New Canaan police said. The crimes occurred in the southeast part of town, police said. One occurred on Old Norwalk Road and the other on Butler Lane, the New Canaan Advertiser reported.
