Westchester Man Fighting For Life After Shootout In Stamford STAMFORD, Conn. -- A New York man was in the hospital fighting for his life, a second was arrested and police were looking for others after a wild shootout early Friday in Stamford, police said. Meriden Man Offers Stamford Cop $45 To Watch Concert; Offer Refused STAMFORD, Conn. -- A Meriden man offered a Stamford police officer $45 if he could stay on a rooftop in order to continue watching the Alive@Five concert on Thursday night when officers came to disperse a large group of people atop the building at 66 Summer St. The officer didn’t bite and instead told the man he and others who were not residents had to leave, police said. Stamford Police Recruit Slightly Injured During Unsuccessful Foot Chase STAMFORD, Conn., -- A Stamford Police recruit suffered a strained muscle in a failed attempt to run down a suspect in a disorderly conduct case late Thursday, police said. Police said they were called to the area of 112 Bedford St. just before midnight to deal with a a complaint from a woman who said she couldn't find a bracelet. A man ran when he saw the officers, and the recruit ran after but fell, said Sgt. Simon Blanc. The police recruit was treated and released from Stamford Hospital. There was no further information on the suspect who fled.

Stamford Man Dies Of Injuries From Motorcycle Crash On Route 1 STAMFORD, Conn. -- A 30-year-old Stamford man died Thursday afternoon in Stamford Hospital after suffering serious head injuries when he was thrown from his motorcycle in a crash on West Main Street/Route 1, police said. Stamford Man, 24, Shot In Shoulder Not Cooperating With Police STAMFORD, Conn. -- A 24-year-old man was "completely uncooperative" after he was shot in the shoulder Wednesday evening, Stamford Police said.
