Advocate Takes Issue With Safety Problems On Metro-North In Greenwich Talk GREENWICH, Conn. -- Commuter advocate Jim Cameron of Darien is blunt in how he views Metro-North, even to the point of castigating the railroad in the title of a speech he gave to the Retired Men's Association of Greenwich. Community Stunned, Saddened By Murder-Suicide Tragedy In Harrison HARRISON, N.Y., -- The murder-suicide of teenage sisters allegedly committed by their father who then killed himself has shocked the Harrison community. Harrison Police said they believe that Glen Hochman, 52, killed his daughters Alissa, 17, and Deanna, 13, and then killed himself. Police went to the home shortly after 3:30 p.m. Saturday after a person said that there was no answer at the door. Stamford Students Bring Warmth To New Covenant House With Gift Of Socks STAMFORD, Conn. -- For the second year in a row, students at Turn of River Middle School in Stamford have donated hundreds of pairs of new socks to a facility known for serving meals to those in need. 3 Charged In Greenwich Shoplifting Incident That Ended With Smashed Cars GREENWICH, Conn. -- Three New York state residents are facing serious charges after a shoplifting attempt went awry and a number of vehicles were damaged on Greenwich Avenue as a suspect attempted to flee, Greenwich police said. Stamford Man Charged With Hitting Girlfriend With Knife STAMFORD, Conn. -- A city man is facing serious charges after police flooded his Springdale neighborhood Thursday morning following a report of a violent domestic dispute, police said. Matthew Saunders, 32, of 6 Avon Lane, is charged with one count each of second-degree breach of peace, third-degree assault and interfering with police. Jim Himes admitted he was a bit overwhelmed by what he saw after he took a special tour of the Bruce Museum in Greenwich. Stamford Police Seeking Help To Find Missing Man STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford police are asking for the public's help in finding a man who was last seen Saturday, Feb. 14. Jorge Simon, 26, a native of Guatemala, was last seen in the area of Stillwater Avenue and Finney Lane. He is 26 years old, about 5-foot-7 and weighs 170 pounds, police said. He has brown eyes and black hair and has a tattoo of a bird on his right shoulder. Anyone with information about the disappearance is asked to call the Stamford Police Department at 203-977-4444.

Wilton Police Investigating Sexual Assault Reported By Woman WILTON, Conn. -- Police are investigating a sexual assault reported by a Wilton woman who invited a Stamford man she knows into her home Monday afternoon, police said.
