Camp Avenue In Stamford Closing For Metro-North Track Work STAMFORD, Conn. -- Camp Avenue will be closed for seven days beginning Friday, Aug. 21, as Metro-North Railroad replaces an outmoded rail spur located along the roadway. The complete road closure is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 21. It is expected to remain closed until 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27. Two Stamford Police Officers Help Save Golfer's Life STAMFORD, Conn. -- Quick work by a pair of Stamford police officers helped to save the life of a 64-year-old golfer who collapsed due to a heart attack at the Sterling Farms Golf Course at about noon Tuesday. The Stamford resident told another golfer at Sterling Farms that he wasn’t feeling well and thought perhaps the extreme heat was getting to him, police said. Greenwich Police Charge Brothers In Attempted Theft Of Range Rover GREENWICH, Conn. -- Two men from New York are facing charges in connection with the attempted theft of a Range Rover on Greenwich Avenue, Greenwich police said. Stamford Woman Charged With Vandalizing Car STAMFORD, Conn. -- After a woman refused to go down to meet her in the parking lot, Chantal Nicole Brivett scratched the woman's car deeply from the front to the back early Saturday, police said. Brivett, 18, of 79 Henry St., is charged with second-degree criminal mischief and second-degree breach of peace.
