Vinny's Backyard in Stamford has won the DVlicious "Best Wings in Fairfield County" contest as chosen by Daily Voice readers with 36 percent of the vote. Firefighters were called at 6:57 p.m. on reports of smoke coming out of a two-story condominium unit.  Further investigation led firefighters to go to the floor below, where they found a fire in a bathroom of a first floor apartment. Stamford Men Facing Weapons Charges After Wilton Traffic Stop WILTON, Conn. -- A police stop of a vehicle without lights on turned out to be lights out for a pair of Stamford men who were arrested on weapons charges, Wilton police said. Cos Cob Woman Charged With Assaulting Family Member While Driving GREENWICH, Conn. — A Greenwich woman is facing a variety of charges in connection with an assault on two family members in a dispute that began while they were driving in Stamford on Wednesday night, police said. Greenwich Police Give 'Mystery' Man A 'Public Disturbance' Ticket GREENWICH, Conn., -- Greenwich police have identified a man who was allegedly in a confrontation with a teacher and a student on Greenwich High School property at about 3:40 p.m. Monday and issued him a ticket. He has been identified as Roy Tiska, police said.
