An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Algonquin Pipeline Company Sues Yorktown YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Spectra, which is behind the proposed Algonquin pipeline, is suing the Town of Yorktown to obtain four acres of town-owned property for an easement. The lawsuit was filed in federal court Thursday. Spectra said it recently obtained a federal certificate to clear the way for construction, which is set to begin on Oct. 1, according to LoHud. Film, TV Industry Booming In Westchester, County Says WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Lights, camera, Westchester.Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino announced Thursday that Westchester received more than $30 million in revenue from the film and TV industry in 2016, almost doubling the amount from two years ago. The 98.3-acre property at 345 Scarborough Road was sold last month to Ridgewood Real Estate Partners, operating as Ridgewood Briarcliff Owner LLC for $12 million. Sen. Carlucci Secures Grant For Legal Services Of Hudson Valley Legal Services of the Hudson Valley announced it has secured a $75,000 grant from Sen. David Carlucci (D-Rockland) to allow it to hire an attorney for its Spring Valley office. The attorney will provide family law and immigration legal services to victims of domestic abuse in Rockland County. Single-Family Home Price Increases In Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange A decrease in inventory has led to an increase in the price of homes in the Hudson Valley. According to the Hudson Gateway Multiple Listing Service, in Westchester, the second quarter median sale price of a single-family house was $670,000, an increase of $20,000 or 3.1 percent over last year`s level. Trump Attorney, Ex-Westchester Resident, Apologizes For Threatening Emails President Donald Trump's attorney should probably think before he hits send on his next email. Marc Kasowitz, who previously lived in Mount Kisco, said he would apologize for responding to someone who thought he should resign as Trump's attorney with four profane and threatening emails, according to ProPublica.com.
